Oatmeal Breakfast

Raspberry yogurt breakfast

I try to be creative with our healthy breakfast so we don’t get bored. So I adapted the plain yogurt and jam dessert, and added oats.

I made my own jam, so I can control the amount of sugar that goes into to it.

To make the jam:

-500 grams of rapsberries( or any other fruits)

-300 grams of pectin sugar*( originally you should use 500g of fruit for 500g of sugar, but I reduced the amount and the result was a more running jam and more tangy)

*If you don’t have pectin sugar you can use granulate sugar and add apple peel.

Bring fruit and sugar to a boil, then reduce to medium heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Let it cool before using.

To make the breakfast:

-500grams of plain yogurt

-2 cups of rolled oats

-1 tbls honey

-splash of skimmed milk

Layer yogurt, oats and jam. Finish it if a dash of milk and a drizzle of honey. Leave it to soak overnight. This recipe makes around 4 big bowls. You can also make it in jars and keep it ready for the week.

Misture a fruta e o açúcar numa panela, deixe ferver e abaixe o fogo.
