DIY projects

8 Aug

I’ve been busy these past couple of days with some new DIY projects!

After the small round table , I attacked the 2 chairs that we bought together with the table! They were horrible. They have a nice shape but the seat was not good for the eyes!

To match our color scheme I painted them green( machine green) and the seats match our chalet style apartment.

I used:

sandpaper 80 and 120

oil based machine green paint

medium brush

Fabric for the seat

Foam for the seat

Stapler gun

Sand the chairs with the 80 sandpaper. Clean the chair and apply the first coat. Make sure to sand it with the 120 sandpaper before applying the next coat. I applied 2 coats.

For the seat, remove old fabric and foam. Cut the foam and the fabric. Make sure that you cut the fabric longer than the actual seat so you can fold it. Put the foam on top of the fabric and the seat on top of the foam. Pull fabric underneath the seat, make sure to apply some tension, and staple in place with the stapler gun.

That is before and after:

Before

After

After

Eu usei:

Lixa 80 120

tinta a base de óleo machine green

pincel médio

Tecido para o assento

Espuma para o assento

grampeador

Lixe a cadeira com a lixa 80. Limpe a cadeira e aplique a primeira demão.

Corte a espuma e o tecido do tamanho do assento.
